In the picturesque Vipava Valley in the west of Slovenia, where the Mediterranean south and continental Europe meet, lies the traditional Vipava Winery, founded in 1894.
The chronicle of the winery is colourful and inseparable from the eventful history of the Vipava Valley. Since the summer of 2017, Styrian winemaker Hannes Sabathi and his Styrian-Slovenian team have been at the helm of the winery's vinophilic fortunes. With this, a new era has begun.
The focus is on pressing the best wines the area is capable of producing - authentic and with precise provenance. Around 350 winegrowers are Hannes Sabathi's most important partners in this great undertaking. For generations, they have proudly cultivated the unique cultural landscape of the valley and supported the visions of the Styrian winemaker with their wealth of experience.
