The name Kroiss actually stands for two wineries, one in Vienna and one in the heart of the Seewinkel, in Illmitz.
Without interfering too much with the complexity of the wine, the Kroiss family gives the wines plenty of time to find their harmony. The terroir is in the foreground and should be clearly conveyed and not embellished. The family's passion is clearly to produce wines shaped by the soil and climate and to make the origin tangible!
With their wines and also in the vineyard, they always push the limits of the vines - both on the sandy soils of the Seewinkel and on the loamy gravel soils of Vienna - every year anew.
"Differences in vintage? Of course! We are not an assembly line production according to a recipe, but are dependent on nature," says Andi Kroiss. "Manual work and a lot of passion accompany us through the wine year and make our lives as varied as our wines."
