The red wine Barolo DOCG Sperss, vintage 2020 from the winery Gaja has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby with a fine garnet shimmer. Finely drawn nose with a fresh fruit component of cranberries and crunchy cherries, some cardamom. Plucky, full-bodied tannins characterise the palate, dark fruit component, full-bodied and salty finish.
