The red wine Barolo DOCG Sperss, vintage 2018 from the winery Gaja has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Brilliant, brightening ruby. Dense and compact nose, ripe fruit notes, of plum, rose petals and truffle with subtle smokey notes. Impressive on the palate, shows a lot of grippy, tightly meshed tannins, pithy, has the firm character of Serralunga wines, earthy notes on the finish.
