The white wine »Höhenflug« Grauer Burgunder, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Hensel has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Expansive aroma characterised by new wood, lots of vanilla, some caramel, roasted aromas, plus red apple, ripe pear. On the palate there is a lot of texture, well-adjusted acidity, ripe almond, sweet apple, again some vanilla, nicely integrated wood. Good structure and length, powerful and juicy on the finish.
