The white wine »Höhenflug« Grauer Burgunder trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Hensel has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose the wine shows plenty of new wood and ripe varietal fruit: ripe stone fruit, red apple, apricot and a hint of caramel. On the palate the slight residual fruitiness goes well with the fullness and smoothness of this substantial type. The wood is vivid but well integrated. The finish has aromas of caramel, vanilla and exotic fruit.
