The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Altesino has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense, flint ruby. Very appealing and intense nose, ripe fleshy berry fruit, blackberry and mulberry, coupled with subtle savoury notes. Round and supple in approach and course, opens with lots of ripe fruit, plum and pickled cherry, powerful, dense tannin, coated with fine texture, very successful!
