The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Roblinus de Waldgries DOC, vintage 2011 from the winery Ansitz Waldgries has been rated in 2015 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, full-bodied ruby with violet shimmer. Rich and dense on the nose, lots of ripe berry fruit, a whole basket full of ripe blackberries, wild raspberries and dark cherries, underpinned by fine tobacco notes. Dense and very present on the palate, lots of present ripe berry fruit, builds up in many layers, dense, polished tannins, rich pressure on the finish, still has potential for many years to come.
