The red wine Lagrein Riserva, vintage 2013 from the winery Ansitz Waldgries has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Deep dark ruby. Intense notes of cocoa, subtle scent of lilac, lots of blackberry and elderberry. Dense and supple on the palate, showing lots of ripe berry fruit on the attack, then opens up with finely meshed, densely packed tannin, long finish and firm drive on the finish.
