The red wine Lagrein Riserva Mirell, vintage 2013 from the winery Ansitz Waldgries has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with lots of violet. Seductive nose with intense notes of pomegranate, elderberries, a little plum and some cocoa. Supple and polished at the front, showing present, ripe fruit, at the back, then unfortunately still quite clearly characterized by wood tannin, rough on the finish, still needs time.
