The red wine 50 & 50 IGT, vintage 2010 from the winery Avignonesi has been rated in 2015 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense shining ruby colour with a light garnet rim. Finely characterised nose with notes of violet blossom, dark cherry, blackberry, fine clove in the background. Pithy and gripping on the palate, shows lots of grippy tannins, opens up in the mid-palate with lots of vivid dark berry fruit, very long juicy finish.
