The red wine Contrada Monte Serra Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Benanti has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright garnet red. Very restrained on the nose at first, then fresh blueberry emerges with a lightly resinous touch on the finish. Quite full-bodied on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and juicy fruit which has a tangy, salty edge and mineral finish.
