Ripe cherries, currants and plums on the nose with a strong aroma of roasted wood savouriness, bay leaf, pencil lead and liquorice. Maintains a balance on the palate between full-bodied substance and clear fruitiness, again cherry and redcurrant, the soft acidity is integrated, dry finish, ripe, well-supporting tannins. Slight spiciness in the finish.
