The white wine »100 Jahre Edition« Bickensohl, vintage 2023 from the winery Bickensohler Weinvogtei eG has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Weißburgunder, Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Day one: Subtle aroma, smoke, salty popcorn, citrus fruit, white grapefruit, lemon zest, white almonds, lemon butter, herbal savouriness. Spicy on the palate with a smooth base, salty, fine acidity, dense and powerful, full-bodied and long. Day two: Still subtle and smoky on the nose, the citrus fruit is joined by more floral notes. On the palate, almost unchanged from day one, somewhat more mineral and gripping. Day three: Restrained aroma, candied peach, red apple, subtle smoke. On the palate, denser and rounder, supple and accessible, vivid fruit with fine savouriness and gentle acidity.
