Tasting Notes
Mineral-spicy aroma of smoke and red and dark fruits, cherry, a hint of red currant, rose petal, rock flour. On the palate, the wine shows firm tannins, fine acidity, appears powerful and gripping, the finish again shows red fruits, smoky notes. A mineral-based Burgundy with a firm structure, excellent length, very fresh, can continue to mature.
More about the tastingOn the nose, the Pinot Noir »S« exhibits plenty of red currant and blackcurrant and fine cedar wood. On the palate, the fine-grained tannins are still very vivid. The fruit seems rather restrained, but elegant for the vintage. Still needs time.
