The red wine Izadi Rioja Reserva Familiar, vintage 2018 from the winery Bodegas Izadi has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Graciano, Maturana Tinta from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Intense fruit streams from the glass: sweet cherry, blackberry, cassis. On the palate, there is a very fine extraction, the tannins have structure despite being full of finesse. It is fresh and harmonises perfectly with the compact, still young fruit. Everything is underpinned by an intense, chalky minerality.
