Tasting from 05.09.2017: Rainer Schäfer, Thomas Schwitalla und Ulrich Sautter

Well defined and natural aromas with nuances of herbal savouriness, thyme, wormwood, salt and liquorice with background notes of fresh black cherry. Initially soft, almost sweet on the palate followed by driven but very fine tannins. Viscosity and mineral chalky notes underly structure and fruit giving good length with very well integrated alcohol. A stylish wine, drinking now but will mature further.
