The red wine Cuvée 1858 Rouge, vintage 2022 from the winery Bonvin has been rated in 2025 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cornalin, Humagne Rouge, Syrah, Merlot from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Dark ruby, purple reflections. Elderberries on the nose, plum, black cherry, with a subtle, beautifully integrated woody savouriness. Elegant and balanced. Full-bodied on the palate with an almost sweetish extract, again lots of dark fruit and fresh spicy notes. Juicy acidity, fine tannin, which is still quite noticeable at the moment. Appropriate length.
