The red wine Caiarossa IGT, vintage 2013 from the winery Caiarossa has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, intense ruby, a light garnet sheen. Opens with notes of cinnamon and sandalwood, plum in the echo, finesse-rich. Perfumed on the palate, spreads with lots of vivid and rich fruits, lots of raspberry and mulberry, hearty, tight-knit tannins, juicy and long, still a bit drying on the finish.
