The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione, vintage 2012 from the winery Casa Emma has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Shimmering ruby with fine garnet rim. Exciting and complex nose, showing notes of sour cherries, some liquorice, blackberry fruit, delicate spices in the background. Round and supple, envelopes the palate with lots of vivid, ripe berry fruit, finely-meshed tannin. Firm drive in the finish.
