The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova DOCG, vintage 1999 from the winery Casanova di Neri has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich ruby, broad garnet rim, but dark at the core. Strange, metallic at first, then suddenly overripe and with a clear caramel and almond note. On the palate, pronounced spicy notes in the attack and finish, grippy, gripping tannins, then clearly drying wood on the finish. Wrong bottle?
