The red wine Barolo Riserva DOCG Ravera, vintage 2017 from the winery Cascina Lo Zoccolaio has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Brilliant ruby garnet. On the nose initially somewhat restrained, needs a lot of time in the glass, then fine earthy tones, peppermint, liquorice, blood orange zest, raspberries. On the palate fine juiciness and gripping, hearty tannin, earthy tones, punchy and with good length, currently still a bit brittle in the finish.
