The sweet and dessert wine Südtirol Moscato Rosa DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Castel Sallegg has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gelber Muskateller from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling, brightening ruby garnet. Opens with distinctly spicy notes of cloves, nutmeg and fleshy rose petals, also some pomegranate, beguiling. Fine sweet fruit on the palate, lots of pomegranate, also cloves and raspberry, fine interplay between sweetness and tannin, exciting.
