The red wine Südtiroler Kalterersee Auslese Classico Superiore Bischofsleiten DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Castel Sallegg has been rated in 2018 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Trollinger from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Elegant, bright ruby red. Generous nose of ripe cherry, a bit of plum, hints of bitter almond, but also violets in the aftertaste. Incredibly juicy and salty on the palate, very great freshness with clear fruit, harmonious from start to finish, an impressive Kalterersee.
