The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Castello di Gabbiano has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep, dark ruby red. The nose is characterised by ripe fruit and wood, delicate balsamic tones. Balanced on the palate with fine tannins and well-integrated acidity, stretches beautifully over the tongue, gentle drive on the finish.
More about the tastingPowerful and bright ruby red with a sparkling core. Rich nose of ripe Amarena cherry, violet and slightly savoury notes on the finish. Grippy on the palate with grippy tannins and superficial acidity, takes over the mouth completely, spreads out prepotently, finishes loosely knit and harsh.
