The white wine Carmelin Heida du Valais AOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Caves Saint-Valentin SA has been rated in 2017 by Sautter, Ulrich with 88+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Savagnin Blanc from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Spring meadow, flowery and slightly "green". Strikingly full-bodied on the palate with a strong nerve and some fermentation carbonic acid. A somewhat woody Heida, but one that definitely shows minerality and is an authentic ambassador for the variety in its hearty, honest style.
