Tasting Notes
Half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir, exclusively from Grand Cru communes. Officially, this is not a vintage champagne, but the base wines in the tranche currently on sale are predominantly from the 2011 vintage. Mineral and reductive on the nose, with a clear terroir spiciness. Full-bodied on the palate, subtly phenolic, with stable, rather delicate acidity, good freshness and a powerfully attacking mousseux, excellent in its density and balance. A champagne that is well suited to culinary use.
