Tasting Notes
A relatively developed, slightly oxidative sample, unfortunately no second bottle available. Caramel from the wood, very ripe fruit, black cherry, elderberry, almost tarry notes. Also black pepper, then sweet cherry, milk chocolate. Not extremely floral this year. More herbal notes such as thyme. The palate shows a fleshy extract, the tannin is grainy, clinging and ultimately dry, but is well accompanied by fruit and juiciness, the finish aromas are on the spicy side. (Tasted by Dr. Ulrich Sautter) .
