Tasting Notes
Deep dark ruby in colour with an opaque core, purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, aromas of blackberry and black cherry, a hint of fine oak and nougat, a fine nutty touch, candied orange zest, some liquorice, and subtle hints of marzipan. The palate is powerful, complex, and tightly woven, with a finesse-rich structure, supporting tannins, black forest berry fruit, spicy and darkly fruited on the lingering finish. Still very undeveloped and reserved overall, with subtle sweetness on the aftertaste, a Vin de Garde, a long-distance runner that still requires patience. (2030-2060).
