Tasting Notes
Light-medium carmine garnet, broad and bright rim. Initially a little smoky on the nose, then with some air, ripe red berry confit, dried fruit notes, a touch of chocolate and subtle hints of cherry and caramel. Medium complexity with subtle earthy nuances, an elegant texture, good freshness in the structure, a sour cherry finish with some sweetness and delicate herbal-spicy nuances, more than hinting at its former greatness. If you still have a bottle of this tucked away, you need to find a suitable date to decant it soon. (97 PP)
