Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim, engaging savouriness, delicate liquorice, blackberry confit, floral nuances. Extremely complex, dark cherry fruit, full and ripe character with charming, ripe tannins, enormous length and great drive. A wine built for many decades, already very seductive, was very accessible from the start and will probably remain so for decades.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby in colour with a dark core, purple reflections, and a subtle watery rim. On the nose, fine peppery spice aromas, a hint of cardamom, dark cherry, some nougat underlaid by a hint of fig. The palate is complex and powerful, black cherry fruited, with bold, and still somewhat demanding tannins, and a long fruity and mineral finish. More patience is required here than with many other wines of the vintage and it has not yet reached its first drinking maturity, it will be better to wait another two or three years.
More about the tastingAttractive aromas of sweet fruit, dark berry confit, oak and mineral nuances. Textured and sweet with a subtle touch of caramel, creamy chocolate notes, fresh acidity, toasted nuances, very good length and full of charm.
