Tasting Notes
A deep dark garnet wine with balsamic opulence, fine mild savouriness aromas and hints of hay flowers, Cuban tobacco and some cedar. On the palate, this Palmer impresses with depth and good structure, mild savouriness notes and excellent length.
More about the tastingMedium carmine garnet, broad ochre rim. Already strongly leafy on the nose, damp undergrowth, smoky, slightly unclean nuances, diffuse, very unusual. Wilted on the palate, deadly sweet, haggard, leathery finish. (A very weak bottle, perhaps cork.) This is normally a top wine that rivals the top growths, rated 94 points several times on other occasions.
