The white wine Viognier de Fontgaline, vintage 2023 from the winery Domaine Coudoulet has been rated in 2025 by Romana Echensperger with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Viognier from the region Pays d'Oc IGP in France.
On the nose, a complex bouquet of apricot, mandarin zest, jasmine and pistachio, complemented by subtle notes of wood barrel ageing such as clove, white nougat and vanilla. On the palate, it has the typical texture flavour and measured acidity, which is supported by a finely structured tannin structure. An excellent accompaniment to food - elegant, complex and remarkably fine.
