The white wine Auxey-Duresses, vintage 2015 from the winery Domaine Fabien Coche has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
Subtle chalk savouriness, quite vivid wood, and a hint of yellow fruit and popcorn on the nose - but all still rather on the closed side of the aromatic spectrum. On the palate there's the first hints of ripe suppleness and some still exciting phenolics, with the good acid backbone carrying the extract and the slightly wood-creamy rounded body. A robust Burgundy with an unmistakably mineral core. Superb length.
