The red wine Volnay AOC Clos de la Cave, vintage 2019 from the winery Domaine Jean-Marc et Thomas Bouley has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Bourgogne in France.
It has a medium carmine colour, with ochre reflections, and a broad bright rim. There are aromas of black berry fruit, some discreet liquorice, and a hint of nougat, it is an inviting bouquet. It is juicy, with a hint of violet and rose blossom, plum, integrated tannins, some minerality, and gentle sweet fruit on the finish. It is still somewhat underdeveloped, and it has a salty aftertaste, and good ageing potential.
