The red wine Fleurie "La Joie du Palais", vintage 2019 from the winery Domaine Lafarge-Vial has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser & Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gamay from the region Beaujolais in France.
A savoury and mineral aroma, with mint, thyme, sweet cherry; also citric undertones of orange peel, iron and allspice. The palate is initially supple, then leads into a very fine, homogeneous tannin that exerts drive. The lively acidity gives elegance. Juicy and very mineral at the end. A thoroughly gastronomic wine – where is the guineafowl or partridge?
