The white wine »Hölle« Weisser Burgunder, vintage 2022 from the winery Eckehart und Johannes Gröhl has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Fine and dense on the nose, with freshly ground almonds and iodine hints like oyster shell. Slightly reductive and flinty, with subtle yellow fruit and apricot. The palate is also dense in extract, taut and lean for a Weissburgunder. It has lively, well-integrated acidity, a grippy, elegant tannin structure, tart apple notes and a salty minerality on the finish. A beautiful interplay between elegant and wild.
