The red wine Lagrein Riserva Castel Ringberg DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Elena Walch has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling ruby with a fine violet shimmer. Very intense and compact nose, lots of sweet blackberries, underlaid with dark chocolate, inviting. Juicy and supple on the palate, shows present fruit, opens up with fine-meshed tannins, good pressure on the finish.
