Brilliant, intense ruby with brightening edges. Very vivid, intense nose with lots of clear fruit, blackberries, cassis and elderberries, fine savoury notes in the background, slightly smoky. Lots of juicy fruit on the palate, a little cranberry, concise acidity gives freshness, pithy, hearty tannins.
