The red wine Barolo DOCG, vintage 2009 from the winery Elio Altare has been rated in 2013 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright, intense ruby-garnet color. Very fine nose, opens with beautiful ripe fruit notes, dark cherries, some cranberries, inviting. Very polished on the palate, lots of fine, dense tannins, builds beautifully, firm pressure at the back, juicy and long.
