The orange wine »Hautnah« Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Espenhof – Nico Espenschied has been rated in 2018 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Fermented for four weeks on the mash, intense aroma of green and black tea, black salsify, malt and dark vegetable stock. The palate is enormously punchy and spicy, with tannins and phenolics in a delicate way. It is energetic with a will of its own.
