Tasting from 16.02.2018: Benjamin Herzog, Ulrich Sautter, Dominik Vombach

1st fl.: Clear ripe notes, some fig compote, chocolaty, cocktail cherry. Soft background, but with a rather strong tannin filling, dense, grainy tannin, with still quite fresh tension, less developed than the fruit, slightly animal finish aromas. 2nd fl.: Much fresher, sour cherry, herbs, lots of juiciness, full-bodied, compact, but not quite homogeneous on the palate until the finish, mineral undertones, fleshy, good density.
