The white wine Finca Allende Mártires Rioja DOCa, vintage 2012 from the winery Finca Allende has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Macabeo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Viura, planted in 1970 on sand and red clay, nine months in new wood. Hazelnut, mineral, could be mistaken for a Meursault on the nose, slight sweetness on the palate, but not quite with the drive that the nose suggests, ripe acidity, rather expansive and broad in style. Ripe, round, relaxed and lingering.
