The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna del Sorbo, vintage 2010 from the winery Fontodi has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Powerful, bright ruby colour with a slight purple hue. Seductive, rich nose, opens with notes of blackberries, some fresh plums, cherry confit, dark olives in the background. Hearty and full on the palate, lots of dense, wonderfully integrated tannins, supple and at the same time with a firm core, the whole coated in ripe dark berryish fruit, very long finish and very clear.
