The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna del Sorbo, vintage 2008 from the winery Fontodi has been rated in 2012 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Rich, flint ruby colour. Dense and compact nose, opens with notes of tobacco, then some dark redcurrant and blackberry, cardamom in the background. Open and supple in the attack and on the palate, showing plenty of ripe berry fruit, opens with pithy, gripping tannins, savoury and firm on the finish.
