The red wine Flaccianello IGT, vintage 2010 from the winery Fontodi has been rated in 2014 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich shining ruby colour with a slight purple tinge. Compact dense nose, opens with notes of violet blossom, then lots of ripe blackberry fruit, some plum, inviting and rich. Firm and gripping on the palate, showing plenty of rich dark fruit, opens with dense very supple and rich tannins at the core, sweet texture, firm drive on the finish.
