The red wine Barbaresco Costa Russi DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Gaja has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kierm, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright ruby core with a light rim. Very clear and memorable nose with notes of raspberries and cherries and hints of cloves and ginger. A generous palate with sweet ripe fruit, textural notes, paired with dense, but fine-meshed tannin, and a long, driven finish.
