The sekt Pierre Brut, vintage 2016 from the winery Geheimer Rat Dr. von Bassermann-Jordan has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
A bright golden yellow with a slight copper shimmer. Grated apple, small red berries, a touch of oak, and champagne-like yeast tones. On the palate, the mousse opens with powerful dynamics. Lively acidity, good fruit extract, complex flavours on the finish. Very stylish.
