The Sekt »Pierre« Brut, vintage 2016 from the winery Geheimer Rat Dr. von Bassermann-Jordan has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Proud and extremely fragrant nose, very berry, also bread crust and freshly grated apple, then iodine notes and a slight hint of oyster shell. The slightly copper coloured sparkling wine with a fine mousse tastes of pumpernickel and dark cherry, the crisp acidity gives wings and lightness, a wonderful, slightly tart drinking pleasure!
