The red wine Merlot Riserva FCO DOC, vintage 2015 from the winery Gigante Wine & Welcome has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points.
Vibrant, rich ruby with a slightly brighter edge. On the nose appealing spicy notes, then blackberry, dark chocolate in the background. Hearty on the palate, beautifully ripened, dark bramble fruit on the approach, opens with dense, grippy tannin in many layers, rich spicy notes on the finish. .
